I just could not resist sharing this link! Gabriele Galimberti is an Italian photographer who profiled grandmothers from around the globe and their signature dishes. While I think I would pass on trying the caterpillars in tomato sauce, the stuffed aubergines look incredible! Like many before me, I have drawn inspiration from the mothers and grandmothers in my life who have instilled in me a love for food. This is an adorable homage to such women around the world.

The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2013

Monday marked the announcement of the 2013 edition of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants. The culinary vanguard, Noma, has fallen to the second spot, only to be overshadowed by Spain’s El Celler de Can Roca. Located in Girona, they are one of three Spanish restaurants earning a place in the top ten (making Spain the most well-represented nation on the list). I am happy to see that Mugaritz is still holding strong at number four – can’t wait to visit this fall!
